The Louis Towns Sword
By Dennis Rogers
I have been very blessed to have some great people behind me during my career. My current sponsors, Metro National Corporation, Royal Dental, AAA Chrome, Spring Shadows Chiropractic and Patina Metals have been there with me for the long haul and for that I am truly grateful. Their kindness and support have at times been overwhelming.
Several months ago my good friend Walt Emmott of Patina Metals, who has made a considerable amount of equipment for me, approached me with an idea he had for a spectacular leverage feat. He said “How about using a sword?” At first I thought –that wouldn’t be any big deal- it wouldn’t be that heavy, but Walt asked me to trust him and let him see what they (his crew) could come up with. He enlisted engineer, master welder, artist and knife-maker, Louis Towns for the job. After 180 man-hours of labor, they presented me with the final product: The $15,000 Louis Towns Sword.
